Event: Sewing workshop: making love pin cushions with Hannah from Lets Learn.
Time: 8.00pm - 10.00pm
Venue: Finchley Golf Club, Frith Lane, London NW7 1PU
We are in February, the month of love and romance (if only the weather would serenade us with sun and not rain) and what better way to show that you love someone or are thinking of them than to make them something special?
This month Hannah from Lets Learn in North Finchley will be coming to show us how to make pin cushions and a variety of other gifts. This should be a really fun evening and we will all be able to go away with a gift for someone we love or just for us!
Hannah will be bringing some sewing machines (about 8) and fabric. If you have your own machine, please bring it along with you so we have enough machines to go round. You can also bring your own fabric to make it really special and individual!
Over the last few months the committee have been thinking up ways as to how we can best serve you and find out what you want from your WI.
We are really pleased to announce that from this meeting you can all pick up a membership card. To get a card you will:
- Have to have paid your membership fee.
- Bring a 2.5cm wide by 3.5cm long photo of just your face. You can print a photo off from your computer and you can smile in it!
We are hoping to be able to ask local traders in Finchley if they are happy to give Finchley WI members discounts or offers for limited periods over the year. This will be great for us as members of the Finchley WI and great for local traders as it will hopefully get more of us using our local high streets!
So don't forget your photo!
Recipes for Website:
I know that a lot of you are all foodies and we would really love to put more of your favourite recipes on the website. If you have a 'Love' recipe for this month, please email it to us at email@example.com and Julie will put it on the website.
Really looking forward to seeing you all this month and do remember your photos for the membership card.
