Our speakers are Gareth Humberstone and Michael Devane from Martin Shepherd Solicitors in Finchley. Although they won't be able to offer specific advice on the evening for any specific questions you may have, they will have contact details with them should you wish to see them at a later date. Throughout November a lot of solicitors take part in Will Aid and although most people avoid speaking about the inevitable and often have no idea how to go about making a will or understand the implications if one isn't made, it is something we should all consider, especially if you have children under the age of 18.

Many of us may also have elderly parents who are finding it difficult to cope on their own or may have been diagnosed with dementia. When is it the right time to put in place Power of Attorney? What is it? What are the implications? How flexible is it? These are important questions we should all know the answer to.

Please come armed with lots of questions. It should be  really interesting and informative evening!

We will also have our raffle and there will be wine, tea and coffee!

November is a really busy month for Finchley WI as well as our meeting we also have our biggest fundraising event of the year,

The Frost Fair
on Sunday 17 November,
Avenue House, East End Road, N3
from 10am till 3pm.

Do look at the website to see who is coming to sell at our fair this year. The range is amazing from jewellery to children's booties! A great event to get your Christmas presents before the mad dash!

We want as many people to come as possible so do please email, Facebook or twitter the leaflet below to all your friends, family or anyone you think maybe interested in coming to the Frost Fair!

We also need lots of cakes to sell! Please bake cakes, biscuits, mince pies, pies (sweet or savoury  or tarts. It would be lovely if there is a Christmas theme but everything welcomed!

When you bake a cake please bring it on the day to our cake stall at Avenue house. If you can bake but can't be there then please deliver your lovely cakes to Anna-Maria on Friday or Saturday between 5pm till 8pm.

If you have little time to bake, but can help on the day, please contact us ( to say what time you can help. We need people to help set up, sell on the stall and clear up.

A really big thank you in advance for all your help to make the day a success.
