October meeting

Breast cancer awareness month special

In order to support breast cancer awareness this month we've invited Kate, one of our founding members, to come and talk to us about her recent experience and fight with breast cancer.

A few of the committee will be baking pink cakes which we can all feast on alongside our usual teas, coffee and wines for a small donation to local charity Cancerkin.

We'll then round off with a swishing session, so rummage through that wardrobe and bring along any items of good quality clothes, shoes or accessories. Then you can swap them or just find them a new home with a fellow Wi-er. Being things that are clean, ironed and preferably on a hanger or in a box/bag. Should be great fun!

All welcome. New members can get 15 months for the price of 12 by joining this month. £5 for visitors.

See you next week xx

  1. what a lovely meeting it was last night. we were lucky enough to hear from member Kate about her experience of breast cancer. she did an excellent talk, thank you again. we've had lots of lovely feedback from people at the meeting who were awed and inspired by her attitude and insights.

plus we raised over £100 with our swishing event for local charity Cancerkin who give fantastic support to people affected by breast cancer in north London. thank you so much for all your wonderful donations and for making the swap a success. i think people went home with some real gems!

we also welcomed 9 new members which we're over the moon about! a big hello to our lovely new ladies - we've got a great year of meetings ahead for you.

see you all in November xx
