June meeting - creative container gardening

Here's Christine to invite you to our June meeting...

For our June meeting I would like to invite you to my allotment site for a talk and on container gardening. I will show you how to get the best out of your pots. Planting for colour, food or to add height and structure to the garden. Ideas to get children involved, including easy veg growing, ponds in pots and carnivorous plants.
There will be some container plants to buy.

I have gardened for people for over twelve years, have RHS qualifications and a City and Guilds certificate in Plants and Planting Design. I also spent a wonderful year training at Chenies Manor (last year's Historic House Association's Garden of the Year).

Like most people I have made many expensive garden mistakes over the years and I hope to let you into some of the tips and secrets I have picked up along the way.

I hope to do a short 'Gardener's Question Time' at the end of the session, If you can think of anything you would like to ask, you can email me before the next meeting and I will do my best to answer your questions on the night.

We will meet at the usual time at Gordon Road allotment site. It is at the bottom of Elm Park Road; off the Finchley Central end of Nether Street and we will be there to meet you. (see the map link below).

We will be outside on the site but under cover, so bring something warm if it is a chilly evening (we have a loo and electricity for hot drinks).

Hope to see lots of you there!
