Frost Fair Sparkles

There are times when it's acceptable, appropriate even, to blow your own trumpet, and we think that this is one of them. Congratulations to everyone for hosting such a successful day. The Frost Fiar was attended by over 1,000 good people from Finchley and the surrounding area in a rarely seen display of community spirit and good humour. There was something for everyone, for the young, and the old, and those in between. We'd like to think that we made a lot of new friends, not least the lovely stall holders who we hope to be able to work with again in future.

Our WI members did an outstanding job at producing and selling truly mouthwatering cakes, and we'll be working off those extra kilos for a good few weeks. A staggering amount was raised by both the bake sale and the raffle, the money from which will be donated to help put on what we hope will be a magical Christmas party for Barnet's children in care. Thank you to everyone involved for making the Frost Fair such a wonderful start to the festive season.

If you missed the Frost Fair but would like to see what was on offer, have a look at our photo gallery and a selection of our stallholders here.
